Homes North has over 90 members of staff who work in specialised teams including Tenant Relationship Management, Asset Management, Services and Community Development and Finance. The teams are lead by our Executive Management team reporting to the CEO.
Maree McKenzie, Chief Executive Officer
Maree has over 23 years’ experience in Social Housing in both government and the not-for-profit community housing sector and brings this wealth of knowledge and expertise to her leadership of Homes North. Maree’s vision for the organisation is exemplified through our strategic goals including Letting our Tenants Guide Us into the Future. Maree believes that Homes North is well placed to lead the social housing sector across the New England North West to support the housing needs of the community.
Neil Scholes-Robertson, Manager Business Services
Neil has over 5 years’ experience in the Community Housing sector and is responsible for managing the business services team for Homes North. He has over 18 years’ business experience covering large manufacturing, chartered accounting, and a developing interest in not-for-profit businesses. He also brings experience in the company secretarial role with both professional and volunteer boards.
Neil qualifications are:
Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting; Graduate Diploma Education Primary; Bachelor Business (Accounting); Bachelor Ministry
Nickie Murcell, Service Improvement and Partnerships Manage
Nickie looks after our service improvement, partnerships and community development side of the business. She works with our Resident Engagement Officers and the SIP Project Team to help make a difference for our tenants, working internally across our teams and externally across the service sector to ensure good communications and service excellence. She has 9 years of experience in the Department of Premier and Cabinet working on Regional Coordination throughout the New England North West and three years with the University of New England.
Richard Innis, Operations Manager
Richard oversees all aspects of Homes North Operations. He has 17 years regional experience in the Not-for-Profit Employment industry, including 11 years in management roles. Prior to coming to Homes North Community Housing Richard’s role was Executive Regional Manager overseeing 40 sites covering approximately 2/3rds of regional NSW.
Ben Ireland, Asset Manager
Our Asset Manager Ben oversees all maintenance and new developments. Ben has 20 years’ experience in the building and maintenance industry and the past 14 years of this has been directly related to social housing. Ben has spend 2 years working for Housing NSW and has been with Homes North for 7 years. He is very experienced in construction project management, asset management and strategic planning for long term sustainable housing for our tenants.
Margaret Adam, Risk & Compliance Manager
Margaret brings considerable experience in risk, compliance and financial management and most recently worked at the University of New England establishing their compliance management system.
